Two old timers of Lucknow were discussing the achievements of the coalition government led by Mayawati during her six-month regime.
'Mayawati is a dynamic leader,' said one. 'She has radically changed the culture of Lucknow.'
'Bhai jaan, how do you say that?' asked the other.
The first one replied, 'Previously, in keeping with their traditional etiquette, citizens of Lucknow used to say "pahley aap", but now they have started saying, "pahle hum, aap chhey maheeney baad".' (The first turn is ours, you take your turn after six months.)
